When we are sick with debilitating diseases and we fight to stay alive, how long do we fight? How long do we suffer? Who are we really fighting for? We are spiritual beings here having an physical journey, experiencing life in human form. We have a variety of challenges which gives us opportunity to learn and grow. We meet people and have relationships that may be for a reason, season or a lifetime. We see all the beautiful things that God has created, that includes are spouses, children, relatives, friends, pets and strangers. Most of us who love become attached to these "Beautiful Creations". However, we are only here for a moment. When our loved ones become ill and it is close to the end, they fight to hang on for us. I get it. We don't want to see our loved ones die and leave us. So we pressure them with love "not to give up". We know that our families want to keep us around but we at some point must surrender. Surrendering is being at peace with whatever is going to happen is going to happen and we are ok with it. So therefore, when our families say "don't give up" please understand that they are not. They are just simply surrendering to peace and not fighting what is to come. Families you be at peace as well, we all have to travel that journey!
